ZAY DAY - HIP HIP HOORAY!!

I know it's been a long time since I blogged and there is LOTS to catch up on!

June First - should forever be known as ZAY DAY!!!
Ampa, Grams, Leslie, Noah, Zay, Cecil and I headed to the courthouse in
Dallas for Zay's official adoption.

The sweet Luttrell Family
Leslie had the boys dressed so cute - matching, of course.
She wanted them to wear something happy and bright.

Brothers

Apparently I need to work on my picture taking skills.
I put my finger in front of the flash on a few pictures. Ooops.
These are most the people involved in Zay's case.
L-R: Attorney for adoption, Kia - Zay's case worker,
Holly - state case worker on the CPS case, The Luttrells :),
New case workers after case moved from open CPS case to awaiting adoption.

The family that came to the courthouse for Zay's big day.

The attorney asked Leslie a few questions in front of the judge and they
covered some 'legal stuff.' I wasn't sure if I could take pictures, but the warden told me that I could. :)
Leslie promised to commit to Zay forever.
I might have teared up.

I had bought a gavel for Zay that has his new name and the date of his adoption on it.
We asked the judge to make the adoption official with it. :)

I really wish Zay had his eyes open in the first picture, but this is what we have of the new family right after speaking with the judge.

Zay really didn't put that gavel down the whole time we were at the courthouse.

Zay's new name is Zay Roger Luttrell
He really and truly is so proud to be named after his Ampa.
This is how he was welcomed to the family. ;)

Sweet boy

Of course they had to goof off and pretend hit with the gavel because #brothers

 Watch out!

A mama and her boy

This is Kia - Zay's social worker.

ONE HAPPY FAMILY!

My Dad had to go to Denton to be with Nana - his Mom.
Grams, Cecil, Leslie, Noah, Zay and I headed to the Reunion Tower.

We surprised the boys and I think they had a lot of fun! But we got there a little early (court was quick!) and had to wait for it to open.
Nothing like an escalator to help you past the time.

One of their favorite things to do - up the down escalator.
Burn up that energy!!

Before we went up, they took our pictures in front of a green screen
and we had lots of props to choose from.

Zay liked his crown upside down. hahaha

On the way to the top the boys loved looking out the window of the elevator.

The top of the Reunion Tower was really cool. I guess they redid it a few years ago and added an observation deck. The interactive technology inside was great and we all had fun.

The boys were very excited!

Sweet brothers

 Silly brothers

I just love this little gif of the boys.

And three of my favorites from above.

Mom wanted to make sure that I took a picture of the Trinity River flooding.
She said next time we were at the Reunion Tower it most likely wouldn't look like this.

I love this picture - especially Zay's expression.

And just the girls - because the boys were running wild. :)

We went upstairs to the lunch restaurant level and had lunch followed by a chocolate Reunion Tower. We hung out there for awhile and enjoyed the views. Grams had left her glasses downstairs where we had taken pictures so Cecil took the boys down to find them.  They loved coming up the elevators again and seeing we had moved. We sat while we went around an entire rotation - not sure how long that is, but it was nice and relaxing.

The boys loved sitting on this edge and letting us pass them by.

Noah showing us he can fit.

yummm

Cecil found a Dallas location that he 'spent a night at' in his younger days.
While holding a root beer. :)

On the way out of the Hotel Lobby we all stopped and made a wish.

I can't even explain how much I love this sweet boy. I'm so excited to see all that
he accomplishes in life. Our family is exponentially blessed to officially be able to call him ours.
