I've been absent from my little old blog this week. Connor has been sick with a virus and Cecil and I have both been trying to juggle being home with him and being busy at work.
I do plan on blogging about Easter soonish (like my 5th time to promise), but for now I'm just going to do a quick Friday Favorites and get to Easter when I have more time.
After this long week of Connor being sick and our little family could use a little break.
Connor has just been fussy and really not sleeping well. He's running a fever, but doesn't really have any other symptoms. I'm thanking my lucky stars that I got a full work day in Thursday and didn't get a call to come pick him up.
Cecil and I don't have a single thing hung up in our bedroom.
I saw this print and thought it might be cute to hang something like this over our bed.
It would be lonely and need something else around it, but I might start with this.
What do you think?
I saw this link and laughed out loud!
It's worth reading for a good laugh.
I saw this on Facebook this week and really really really
hope my sister does this for her 30th birthday. I mean!!
Hilarious
The cake smashing
The tutu
The chalkboard sign
The garland in the back
The crown
Its all too good.
My "baby" cousin is getting married this weekend and since we already gave her the 'big' present at her shower I wanted to find something sweet and simple to gift to the couple at the ceremony.
I found this locket on the Pottery Barn site.
At just $3.99 plus $9 for a monogram, I grabbed a couple of their engagement pictures off FB and had a thoughtful, sweet, personalized gift for under $15.
The ornament is really great quality and I am really happy with how it turned out.
They are big - like the size of your palm, not a necklace.
Don't you worry -
I also got one with Connor's monogram
and Turner's
But I think it's a sweet gift for anyone and if you didn't need a monogram, you cannot beat a personalized ornament for under $5 - stocking stuffer ALERT (in April). :)
Noah and Zay came over to our house Friday and we had Friday Family Fun Night
We ate pizza, watched American Ninja Warrior, and Zay was fixated on talking about and shopping for walkie talkies.
Without telling Zay, Cecil started charging his and they were
ready right before it was time for the boys to leave.
Zay was BEYOND excited!!
He thought Cecil had just ordered them and said, 'What took you so quick??'
Here are my two techies searching and searching for the perfect walkie talkies on Amazon.
I didn't even know it was possible....but I realized that I was in a baby clothes shopping rut.
Ya'll - I basically only shopped at Old Navy and Gap online. Sometimes Belk.
One day I went to a local resale shop during lunch to look for a specific toy Connor liked at school and I THINK IT CHANGED MY WORLD.
I found the cutest things for the best prices!
Connor has looked extra cute ever since.
I definitely have a love for the romper - Cecil does not.
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
for only $5.50.
Connor's are tan and brown and he is not entirely a fan yet,
I've started ordering my "Mother's Day cards" aka Personalized chatbooks for all the Moms in our family. I started with Cecil's Mom today. I have a few more to create and order.
Have a great weekend, ya'll!!!
