April was a big month for our family. I went back to work and of course I turned 31. Maybe it was just a big month for me.
Leslie and Noah both had to go to school on Good Friday. Zay's school was closed so he stayed the night with us. Thursday evening he was just my little buddy helping me do a couple things. He loves to help and learn how to do anything new. We used the glue gun and hammer to fix a couple things and he loved it.
Leslie had asked me to find him a new batman shirt with a cape because his was WORN OUT. The one I found on Amazon came with a mask. I think he was pretty excited.
On Friday, Cecil and I wanted to make it a special day for Zay so we took him to Itz. I don't think we will ever be back during the day. To enter you have to buy the buffet and the food is just disgusting. I think Zay really liked it though. Cecil and him played laser tag and then they both climbed the rock wall while Connor and I looked on. After Itz we went to the mall and got Zay some new tennis shoes. I think he felt like a special kid which was our goal. Love him!
Connor at 3 months :)
Easter Sunday we went to church as a little family of 3.
The Rodriguez Family came to visit and Aster liked playing with Connor. I am so excited to watch these 2 grow up together! I just know they will the best of friends.
Kristin came into town and it was wonderful. Michelle took the older kids to her MIL's house and Kristin, Leslie, Michelle and I got to have a girl's with just the two babies day. We all piled up in Michelle's new Mommy Car and went to Boomer Jacks.
The weather was kinda nasty, but I think the four of us adults were a little more thrilled than the babies.

Look at Aster's sweet face - she's so pretty!!
I just love love being around Kristin. She's the best!!
Noah is equally obsessed with her. He told me "She has the best jokes!"
I just love having my BFF around. She makes everything super fun! I treasure our visits.
We went to the horse races in Grand Prairie one evening with friends. Connor placed his first bets...and even won a little!
We went to Jackie's to visit Nana, Jackie, Tom, Jenny, and kiddos.
Nana loves feeding the babies and I hope he continues to let her hold him forever. It just brightens her day.
Addy gave Connor some sweet kisses!
In mid-April we started putting Connor in his crib. We had gone to Cranial Technologies and they told us to IMMEDIATELY take him out of the Rock and Play that he had been sleeping in in our room. He didn't sleep very well in the Pack N Play in our room so we tried his crib and it seemed to work better. I loved being able to see him in the monitor.
I decided to return to work on a Thursday so it would be a slower transition and I'm glad I did. I went back to work on Thursday 4/16. Cecil and I both dropped Connor off at his school and then headed to work. I only cried a little on the way to work. :)
They have a TINY nursing room at school that I was going to feed him in right before I left. We happened to run into Zay and Noah and got a quick picture. (Zay was going to Kindergarten at the same school).
Back to work selfie.
This was my email count when I got back to work. I know it could have been much worse, but I definitely had some 'clean-up' to do.
I got this picture from Connor's teacher and it made my day!
I just loved seeing Connor swaddled and sleeping in the monitor. It was my favorite view before going to sleep myself.
I took this picture of Connor when I dropped him off. I think he blends in with his boppy a little. :)
Connor's teacher's sent me this picture. I loved seeing him during the day!
During lunch, I was able to go up to the school and breastfeed him. It was a perfect little break in the day and I really treasured having him so close.
Sometimes after work, Connor and I would stop off and say Hi to Leslie and the boys (and breastfeed). Here the boys are posing with their Aggie Ring. I hope they have their own one day!!! :)
One of my all time favorite Zay pictures.
I took Zay to the book fair at school and he picked out 2 books and this one to read to Connor. (Noah might be a little more interested in the TV.)
Another stop at Aunt Leslie's to breastfeed before we headed home. Riding home with Connor started out AWFUL. He HATED the car and would scream and scream the whole way home. If we were moving he would be fine, but if we were stopped (rush hour traffic) he would scream like he was in pain. I purchased a toy bar and it got better, but those first couple weeks were rough. Sometimes I would just cry because there was really nothing I could do.
Zay, Connor, and I went swimming at Lauren's and had a great time! Zay thought Brent's name was Lauren and asked for MONTHS to go back to Lauren's house....until we did one day and he kept looking for Lauren. hahahhaha
The spring brought nice weather and we took advantage by going on a couple walk at parks.
Another sweet picture from Connor's teacher
One evening we put Connor in the Bumbo and he was so proud of himself. He didn't have complete control of his neck/head yet, but was getting stronger.
The next day, school sent me this picture! I love that we were on the same page!! :)
This was my first attempt at Connor's 3 month picture. Not great.
I just love this view. Connor's crib, cute monitor, homemade quilt from Michelle, and a swaddled sleeping baby Connor.
Snug as a bug
One night Cecil and Connor came out of the nursery and he had on the monkey outfit Nana had bought him. It was too cute for words!
This is when we got his official 3 month picture.
One of my very very favorite pictures from school. They started using the exersaucer by padding blankets behind him and he LOVED it!! Look at that smile!
