Noah is Seven!

Noah turned seven this year! There was a huge snow the weekend of his birthday party.
Aunt Lesa came to visit, but I don't have a single picture of her. :( She said she would hold Connor when he got a little bigger. Poor Aunt Lesa - she hates the cold and came to visit us "up north" during the coldest week of the year.

Leslie had to move Noah's party in doors because of the weather. They had it in the party room at Buffalo Wild Wings and I think it turned out great.

Noah picked a 'Be a buddy not a Bully' theme and it was ADORABLE!!!!!!!!

Please note the 'Bullying hurts' Band-Aid poster in the background of the party, the 'Bullying STOPS here' stop signs, the Bully with a cross through it on the cookie cake, the 'I'm a Buddy, not a Bully' stickers. and the Be a Buddy bracelets on the tables.

Leslie had a couple fun games set up for the kids, but the only pictures I got were of them singing happy birthday to Noah.

Here Noah is directing the song as everyone sings to him. :)

Ampa and Grams got Noah a tablet for his birthday and then quietly on the side gave Zay one too.

Connor slept through most of the party.

But he got some snuggles from Aunt Babs

After the party, we followed Aunt Babs and Aunt Lesa to the hospital to visit Turner. Well, of course Connor decided it was time to poop, eat, and then poop again. We missed the entire visit and when we were about to come up they were ready to leave. Life with a newborn....
So we just left and met the Broussards, Russell, Marie, and Lesa for a hibachi dinner in Arlington.

Does Connor look guilty? He should.

On the way home Leslie said they were going to go to Itz to go bowling, so we met up with them. It turned out to be a great time. We all took turns holding Connor and bowling.

Then everyone but Connor and I played laser tag. I think Grams and Ampa are the coolest because they do fun things like this with their grandkids. I think it really made Noah and Zay's YEAR!!
I think Noah had a really special day.
This past year was huge for Noah. A lot changed in his little world and he handled it like a champ. There were of course growing pains, but he is such a good boy and we are all so proud of him.
*I want to note that thumbs up and peace signs are totally Noah at this age.
*He is a really excited (and a little uneasy) to have gained 3 cousins (Jack, Turner, and Connor) so suddenly. He asked me:
'Why do people love babies so much? Is it because they are really cute??'
*He has really stepped up into his big brother role and is a good example for Zay.
*He LOVES being a Cub Scout
*Math is his favorite subject. But he does really well in all subjects at school
*He didn't get an Oops stamp at all during 1st grade
*He's still a really picky eater
*He was completely torn up that he didn't get to spend Christmas Day with Grams and Ampa. He doesn't like change and really excels on a schedule.
*He loves to watch TV and has a hard time (is this a boy thing?) hearing anyone when the TV is on
*He loves video games
*Along with a schedule, he loves a theme - Friday Family Fun night is special to him.
*He loves pop music. Michael Jackson is still one of his favorites.
*He hates the last day of school and LOVES the first day of school.
*He's had a couple crushes at school and it has been totally adorable
*His favorite sport is basketball
*He has the sweetest heart and he will always be my first baby.
