February 2015 - One

February was a big month for us. We adjusted to life as a family of three. Cecil was able to stay home with me for two weeks after Connor was born, but after that I was on my own. We did a lot of snuggling and sleeping (Connor, not so much me) and just figuring each other out.

The weekend after Connor was born Nana caught pneumonia and went to the hospital the following Monday. I really wanted Connor to meet Nana and get some pictures as soon as possible. It was most likely against my better judgement, but we took Connor to the hospital to meet Nana. I'm sure I was emotional from having Connor 12 days prior, but it was really hard for me to see her in that state.

She was happy to see the baby and kept saying. 'Shes so precious.' I hope he brightened her day. :)

After dinner, Mom, Dad, Cecil, Connor, and I had dinner.

Connor made this sweet little snort that we thought was hilarious. On February 9th, Connor slept 6 straight hours which was Amazing for me!! I think we were supposed to wake him every three to eat, but I'm not all about that.

While I was home on maternity leave, we did a lot of lying around. I felt like Connor slept a lot, but somehow I spent all day trying to take a nap. He sure was sweet to look at while he was sleeping.

Cecil would usually come home and play with Connor 'in the forest.' Connor loved to watch Oscar the Owl fly from his shoulder to the top of the forest.

One day, Connor and I went over to Jenny's house to visit with Jackie, Jenny, and the kids. There were so sweet to Connor. The twins were especially excited to hold their cousin.

I was completely in love every time Connor accidentally went cross eyed.

Connor got his first piece of mail - his social security card.

Jenny and James threw Jackie a surprise 65th birthday party that was adorable. We had a great time and it was good to see family and have some meet Connor for the first time.I just love Aunt Jackie!! She's a treasure!

One of our first family of three pictures.

We did more sleeping. I think this was my favorite part of his newborn stage - watching him sleep.

One day, I picked up Noah from school to take him to the dentist office. Connor decided it was time to eat, so we made it work - in the parking lot of course!

Noah played with his new toy while he waited.

 More snuggles and sleeping

Connor and I went to the new Walmart Neighborhood market close to our house and it was a success.

Watching both of my boys sleep was pretty sweet too.

I went to Emma's birthday party and Lauren did a great job setting it up. It was too cute! It was worm theme. :)

But this was my favorite picture from the day! haha

Back at home we had a little lunch for Cecil's Dad's 60th birthday party.

Sunday I met my girlfriends for brunch. I forgot to take a group picture, but I did take one of my first drink in about 10 months. yummm

Then, we went to the hospital and visited baby Turner who was growing and getting stronger everyday.

Our world sure was turned upside down...but in the best way. There's going to be a second February post because SO. MANY. PICTURES.
