June 2015 - Two

June was a busy month so I broke it up into two parts. Here is Part One.

After we got to Van Alstyne, we took Connor for his first swim. I thought it was a good idea because it was getting dark and we wouldn't have to worry about sunburns. He was sleepy and not so sure about it. He didn't really smile or fuss. Just was conent...and a little cold.

For Father's Day, Cecil had said that he wanted to play golf with my Dad. Done. That's my kind of fun!! Ampa, Grams, Leslie, Noah, Zay, Cecil, Connor and I (what a BIG crew) went out to Hurricane Creek and played a round of golf. Connor was a trooper. We took his carseat in case he needed to sleep. This might have been Zay's first time to play actual holes and he still has some learning to do about not walking to where someone is going to be hitting their ball, but I think he had a lot of fun. It really was a great day! Happy Father's Dad Ampa! This is the only picture I got of you. ;)

We drove home Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning Connor woke up with lots of snuggles and smiles for his Popiseed (which is Cecil's nickname for himself that he came up with when I was pregnant). I just love hanging out in bed on weekend mornings.

We went to our favorite place for breakfast and Connor was shooting Cecil heart eyes and smiles across the table.

After breakfast we had an outfit change and headed to Granny's house. We lucked out and got to see Zach, Tammi, Austin, Pops, and Granny. Connor looooove his Aunt T.

I love this picture!

Austin might be really really tall (6'3'') for a 13 year old, but he is still his Mama's boy and I just loved seeing him leaning against her on the couch.

We got a couple Father's Day pictures with Pops.

We headed home and I realized we didn't have many pictures of Connor in the nude - which is my favorite. I love that bum.

Personality Plus

Me and all three boys. Noah didn't want to wear sunglasses. Lame.

Isn't he the cutest!

We took Connor's five month pictures

I visited Connor at school one day and got a quick selfie. He is thrilled obviously.

I worked on a couple more things for Michelle's baby shower. This was my first attempt:

Then I decided to look at Pinterest and copy someone else's creativity. Much better.

Cute baby boy in his Paris onesie. It says 12 months, but barely fit our 5 month old. Guess the French babies are a wee bit smaller? Oui Oui.

Noah must have tooted. Zay didn't want to hear it or smell it so I thought this was pretty original. Zay looooves this policeman shirt.

Connor painted at school and had a blast. They said he did really well. Doesn't he look excited.

Look at this masterpiece! I guess he is an artist just like his Daddy!

Sleepy time

We loved playing on the floor with all of Connor's toys INSIDE with the AC on.

Bedtime snuggles

I helped host Michelle and John's baby shower at Nicole and Ben's house and it turned out super super cute. We took Connor and he was pretty good but it was the first time that I ever gave him to someone else and he fussed to come back to me. I had always loved how friendly he is so this was disappointing to me. :(

We went with a dot theme and used coral, mint, and gold colors. I told everyone I thought my strengths were décor and games. It was so fun to host together.

Here is the welcome sign I made that greeted everyone out front.

Everyone came in, dropped off their book for Kaylee, signed her Bow holder (ooooh! I want a girl), wrote a message on a diaper, and guessed the baby pictures of John/Michelle. We added baby pictures of their siblings too to stump everyone.

Here are the happy grandmas playing along

We did a baked potato bar and it was really good. We had all the regular toppings and ham/pork for everyone to add.

Of course there were treats too!

The cake turned out so pretty. We love Leah's Sweet Treats!

AND...of course there were drinks too!

This is where my dot garland ended up. They have a beautiful home! It is great for hosting and we have lots of events there, including my baby shower. They are always so gracious to invite us in.

I love how the mantle turned out with my gift bags and fabric garland.

Kaylee is really loved. And babies require a LOT of stuff.

Hudson kept coming up to Connor and cupping his hands together asking to hold him. It was the sweetest thing ever!

After presents, we played a game where everyone had to guess what was in the bags. I realized some of the items were quite a stretch and even the group didn't get many right. hahha oops.
K - Keys (baby toy)
A - Aspirator (Nose Freida)
Y - Yellow Duck
L - Bottle Labels
E - Baby Einstein Toy
E - Elephant Paci

I had everyone guess and then John open the bags. He was a good sport.

We did Nothing Bundt cakes for the girls (Michelle's pregnancy craving) and Jack & Coke for the guys as party favors.

I just love these girls so much! I love 'doing life' with them. I don't have too many Mommy friends and I am so so so happy Michelle is joining the club. Now half of us (Nicole, Michelle, and me) are Moms.

She even used some of the decor from the shower in her nursery which made me super duper happy.

And with that - June was a WRAP!
