Fort Worth Shower

We had a second shower in Fort Worth. My friends did an AMAZING job and totally blew my mind with the sweet details. The food was good, the game we played was fun, and we got so much nice stuff. We hung out after the shower too (as this group tends to do ;)) and had such a great time. Cecil might have had too much fun.

This is seriously the cutest cake I have ever seen!! EVER! I was BLOWN AWAY!! And it tasted great too. They got it from Leah's Sweet Treats in Fort Worth. And she never disappoints.

Ben and Nicole have the perfect house for hosting and everything was so pretty. The girls did a great job on decorations! The flowers, candles, and puffs were all so cute. I love the 'Cute as a Button' theme they used. It was just perfect!

Food pics anyone? I think took plenty. Next time I need to remember to take more people pictures.

They had a bubble bar set up and even got me alcohol free champagne. It was nice to have a sweet mixed drink. It had been a really long time!

The party favors were (of course) over the top too! The cute 'h' made out of buttons was the guest book and now it is hanging in Connor's nursery.

Our presents and assigned seats. I was thankful to have Cecil there with me to help open presents! Its always a little 'eyes just on you' moment and it was fun to be able to share it with him for once.

We played one game and it was hilarious! The couples were both blindfolded and each had to put a diaper on a stuffed animal. The couple with the fastest time won! It was the best game ever! We had guests with a wide range of 'diapering experience' and it showed. Wes and Lauren went and he meant business! Wes quickly put on his diaper and then helped Lauren finish hers! They definitely set the time to beat! But to be fair...he has 5 kids, so it's to be expected. ;)

3C and Chad went and they have, lets say, less experience. Poor Chad didn't even know how the diapers stayed on. He didn't know there was Velcro and he tried to tie his in a knot. It was one of my very very most favorite Chad moments!!

Cecil and I did pretty well. I must say I was impressed with us. But, alas, Wes and Lauren could not be beat. They won a cute Tom's blanket.

Here we are cutting our (one more time) AMAZING cake! Isn't it the best! And it tasted great too!

Thanks to all my sweet hostesses! I am beyond blessed to be able to have these girls in my life. They make it so much more fun/sweet/rich. Seriously! I hit the friend jack pot when I moved to Fort Worth. They sure made me feel like a special girl/future mama.

Like I said before, we hung out well after the shower and had another great night with our dear friends. I miss these nights already. I know soon (maybe this weekend) we will be able to go out without Connor and have a stress free night to just relax (thanks for the future babysitting Auntie Leslie), but it feels like its been a really long time. Ahhhhh to be stress free and not responsible for anyone.....oh wait. This is how Cecil thought he needed to ride home after we got to our street.
