We drove home from Angel Fire on the 23rd so we had lots to do on Christmas Eve.
I did laundry, took Connor to the doctor, met Leslie for a sushi lunch, ran to the grocery store, made 4 batches of chex mix and Cecil confirmed he had broken his rib snowboarding at Care Now.
Dad, Mom, Leslie, Noah, and Zay came over for Christmas Eve and I made baked potatoes.
Connor was interested in Gram's necklace so she shared with him. :)
I really loved our mantle with the real wreath I bought this year.
We got a picture of all the boys in front of the tree. These are Zay's crazy eyes that he makes when we take pictures. I have no idea why. hahahahah
They are all three at such fun ages. They all adore each other and Noah and Zay truly believe in Santa and the elf and all the fun Christmas stuff.
I just love Zay's face here. So cute!
Leslie wanted me to open Connor's present immediately. It was so sweet and thoughtful. She got our sweet family friend to make him a personalized sign.....and of course a MONKEY book. And she gave him this car that the sign is leaning against (she'd given him this weeks earlier). It was Noah's favorite toy. She did a lot for Connor this year!!
What a sweet Auntie!
Zay and Grams read Connor the book and even though it doesn't look like it, he was really into it!
Please look at Connor's face in this picture. hilarious.
Leslie gave Dad his first ugly Christmas sweater and Cecil this gingerbread man shirt. They humored us with a picture. Please look at Zay's face! The boys were so excited.
This is Cecil reenacting Noah during their picture in Angel Fire. hahahah
he pretty much #nailedit.
He's getting bigger, but he is still her baby! awwww ;)
We gave Mom & Dad their Christmas present - professional photos of all the grand kids and they loved them! Especially Mom. I have a few more to print off, but she really really liked them and I'm so happy with how they turned out.
Then we gave Noah and Zay their last present from us - a bag with their name on it and a flashlight. I'm convinced - flashlights are great gifts for boys.
Even Connor liked it.
I put Connor to sleep, we opened a few more presents, showed Mom and Dad all the pictures and then Mom, Dad, Leslie, and the boys headed home.
I was so so so excited. This might have been what I was looking forward to most this entire season....getting Santa ready for my very own baby. Cecil put Connor's truck together (even with a broken rib) while I cooked and put his char together and got everything else ready.
Leslie texted me this picture of their Santa - Noah on the right and Zay on the left.
Christmas Eve is my very favorite day of the year. It always has been and it was again this year. I just love how relaxed it is. Its the beginning of the celebrating and I think has the days go on everyone gets more tired and more over it. haha But Christmas Eve....it's magical.

You are right- Christmas Eve is pure magic ;). And that has nothing to do with it being my birthday :). I adore Zay's expressions in so many of these pictures- he is so fun to watch! Also, Connor's face during the book reading, hilarious.
