On December 27th we hosted Cecil's family for Christmas. I'll be honest - I was a little exhausted from traveling to Angel Fire and all of our other Christmas celebrations: Christmas Eve, Christmas morning, Christmas Day, and the Luttrell Christmas the day before.
I'm thinking next year we might try to do less. Sweet Nana (Cecil's mom) came over early to bake her famous chicken dressing (and love on Connor). Connor gave her a copy of all of his professional photographs from 2015 and a Christmas present he made at school. Its his footprints and says Mistletoes. They made two so we gave Nana the extra one. :)
Everyone else arrived around noon and we ate around one. I had framed Connor's picture from our session with Jen and his Santa picture for everyone to have a framed copy if they wanted.
I guess Cecil and I both were tired from taking pictures too because we don't have any before we started presents.
Connor might have been a little confused about how to open presents. He loved to climb on these all month while they were under the tree and while opening them was no exception.
Our "special" nephew. jk love him so much!
Liam was really sweet to wait his turn. In Cecil's family they like to go in order of age youngest to oldest and that person open ALL their presents at once. I feel a little rushed to adequately say thank you for the gift, let Connor see it and then move on to the next one. But I don't make ALL the rules so thats how we did things. lol
Connor got lots of great stuff! A duck pillow and blanket from Granny, A sports toy from Nana, clothes and some cash from Pops, and a cool chair from Tammi. I think he was pretty happy!!
Connor especially loved his basketball hoop from Nana. He got busy playing with it right away!
Finally! It was Liams turn!
While he was busy opening other presents, Connor stole a few hugs from Liam's new Mickey Mouse.
Much better picture, Austin. He's such a cool kid!
Liam opened 'the star of the day.' A towing truck that boasted that it could pull up to 200 pounds. We were all like seriously!?!
Zach set it up and then we all watched as it pulled Connor around in his new cozy truck. It was hilarious!
We all had a fun day spending time together and it was the perfect way to wrap up our Christmas celebrations. It is really fun for me to see how much joy Connor brings everyone.
I still have my December post to do, but other than little tidbits - I am officially DONE posting about Christmas. Hallellujah!

less is always more with christmas, but so hard to actually accomplish! that towing truck is insane! how ingenious is that- towing Connor around :).
