Bachelor Ben: The Finale!

Finally! This is the end of Ben’s “Journey” We know it’s been “incredible” and he has told two “amazing” women that he loves them. But tonight it all comes to a “dramatic conclusion.”

Harrison tells us that they secretly flew out  Ben’s, Lauren’s and JoJo’s families as well as Ben’s pastor for Indiana. Neil Lane is there with wedding bands and he is hoping they will get married tonight.
 

Immediately NO. No Harrison No. No one is buying that they are

 going to get married on a live after show.

We head back to Jamaica where we left off with Ben and the two girls he loves.

 

We visit Lauren and she is reflecting while overlooking the ocean in jorts.

We visit JoJo who is also reflecting while overlooking the ocean in jorts.

 Ben tells us that right now he is terrified to say good bye to either woman.

He is scared he is going to make a mistake.

Ben’s parents, David and Amy, are in Jamaica and his mom tells us that ‘to know that Ben could possibly be in love with two woman is really disturbing to me.’

Me too, Amy!! I'm sweating!

 

Lauren meets the parents

Lauren gets to meet the parents first and Ben is seriously giggling.

Ben and Lauren reflect on when Lauren wanted to meet the parents immediately.

 

Ben has a school girl crush on Lauren. Lauren talks to both Ben’s Dad and Mom

Amy asks if she has seen the side of him where ‘he is his worst critic’ and tells us that Ben is far from perfect and can get intense. Lauren holds hands with Amy and does well with the parents. 

Ben’s parents are both beautiful – tan and fit. Ben is going to age well.

Amy has some GREAT facial expressions.

 

Lauren tells Ben that after meeting his parents she is ready to get engaged.

 

JoJo meets the parents

JoJo meets the parents ‘the next day’ but I’m thinking it might actually be the same day.

 Can we get some inside information on this??

JoJo shares that she recognizes Ben is really hard on himself and Ben says that she is comforting to be around. I imagine that is nice to hear as a parent.

Ben tells his parents about when they took a helicopter around Vegas and he says

he wishes they saw the hoover dam……wink wink.

Poor Dave is confused and says ‘what’s this all about’

JoJo is blushing and dying inside.

Amy says ‘too much cuddle time?’

Hilarious.

Ben can be so awkward and dorky. I love it.

 

JoJo speaks with both parents and she seems so genuine. Amy seems like a total girl’s girl.
They really get along. Even I am tearing up when JoJo says how much she loves Ben.

JoJo asks Ben if he is ready to propose?
He says yes while shaking his head no.
Confusing much?

 

Ok, JoJo knocked it out of the park with the parents.

Amy says that today did feel different.

It is not said, but I feel like the parents prefer JoJo.

Dave says Lauren is a great gal and was very polished.  

OK this is my opinion. I think it is obvious that JoJo knows Ben better than Lauren and that she is more compatible for him. I think his parents like her better.

Harrison tells us that Ben’s pastor is ‘standing by.’

Not one person believes there is going to be a wedding today.

Now we find out that JoJo’s parents are there. Yesssss

I've been missing JoJo's Mom.

 Lauren’s parents (and siblings) are there.

Where are JoJo’s siblings? Her brothers didn’t want to come?

We see the pastor….walking….just reading the bible.

Lauren’s Last Date

Ben tells us that he has prayed a lot these past two dates

 Lauren and Ben float on a catamaran and Ben seriously giggles with her.

Their relationship just seems somewhat immature, to me that is.

I think Lauren is picking up for the first that Ben is actually torn between her and JoJo. It gets a little awkward and as much as Ben wants to just relax with her she is anxious.

There is so much underneath the conversations on their date that it is painful.

His only concern with Lauren is that everything has been so perfect.

When things get too good to be true he gets really nervous.

He says he knew he loved her right away and he didn’t even know why.

Then he says this, and I quote:

"Its weird.

Its crazy.

Its good.

Its life."

huh?

 

He doesn’t know what it its like when things get hard with Lauren.

Everything has been perfect and they haven’t been tested.

Ben says, "Lauren, no matter what happens you’ve made me a better person.

You’ve made this worth it."

I think Lauren is scared for the first time I think she thought she had it in the bag.

 Harrison asks us if Ben make good on his promise to marry the girl he proposed to ’right away.’

This is what he said at the Women Tell All.
Um I didn’t hear a promise AT ALL. Oh Harrison

 

Um NO WAY. Did they see what The Bachelor paid for with Sean and Catherine?

No way would any girl be OK with getting married on an AFTER SHOW over that.

 

We are not dumb.

 Ben tells us that everything has gone so well with Lauren that it makes him nervous.

He says JoJo is exciting and fun and has a calming demeanor.

 

JoJo's Last Date

Ben is happy to see her. We can hear one of their hearts beating against

the microphone when they hug/kiss.

 Their date is blue hole/waterfall site. JoJo gets all the sexy waterfall dates.

Who could forget this?!?

 

JoJo wants to talk about where they would go after this. I appreciate that she is practical and real. She wants Ben to tell her everything. She even brings up Lauren (I would be like this. I wouldn’t be able to just leave it unsaid). I like that she addresses the elephant in the room. But after talking to him, she says she realizes that they are not on the same page. Tonight is more important than she thought it was. She wants to know what he is confused about. She loves him so much she is scared to lose him. She hopes she doesn’t end up looking like a fool.

Uh oh

When JoJo and Ben talk at her hotel room, he says he is uncomfortable because of the situation and that they put themselves there.
Which is true. And I appreciate the responsibility he takes for that.

He says that he didn’t think he would talk to JoJo about his struggle between the two,
but JoJo says she is glad he did and that he should never sensor himself around her.

I think JoJo might have friend zoned herself by wanting to talk it all out with him.

JoJo finally breaks down. Ben tells her that somehow in two months she became his best friend.

 The two go off camera (is this allowed) and sit in the bathroom and whisper. Lauren straight up asks if he loves Lauren and if he told her that he did.

Yes. Yes.

She breaks down.

 

I think JoJo is really good at loving Ben. I think she is the best match for him.

 I want to yell “Harrison, my nerves are super high, GIVE IT UP.

NOT ONE PERSON believes this could end in a wedding TODAY.

Last Day

Ben says he wakes up without any clarity.

Does he even know who he is picking the ring for?

Neil Lane comes over and I'm wondering if he even knows who he is picking a ring for.

Then suddenly, he says

"If I'm honest with myself, I know who I'm going to propose to."

He picks a ring with emerald stones.

 

Lauren gets ready and I love her blue dress - it’s a beautiful dress

But then we see JoJo in PINK and JoJo wins the dress competition AGAIN.

 

 It’s so scary for me to see who arrives first. The girls are in helicopters and I’m sick to my stomach. We still have thirty minutes!!! Can we hurry this up!?!?
Ben is clearly torn up.

I literally have a pit in my stomach.

 How does The Bachelor make me care so much?!?!

I’m nauseous.

 

Oh no. It’s JoJo. Sad.

I'm suddenly hating this show.

They make her walk FOREVER down a walkway.

Ben is not smiling.

I am wondering if she already knows.

 JoJo starts off talking, about how much she loves Ben.

I’m wondering if he can just interrupt her and

quickly break up with her and walk her out.

This is torture. I feel so bad for her.

Ben, please be kind. Stop her!!!!!

Ben finally talks and says ‘with you it was real. Does she sense it yet?

I hate this.

Ben continues ‘I didn’t know if I could find love.

I found it with you, but I found it with somebody else more.’

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

 

 JoJo can’t even look at him.

Ben says he tried to be honest. She just doesn’t know what to say.

She says she was blindsided – which is the one thing he promised he wouldn't do.

They both seem very broken. 

In the limo, JoJo says she wishes she could hate him. But she can’t

Ben says he could have married JoJo and ben very happy.

But he loves Lauren with all his heart and it’s a love that he can’t lose.

He calls Lauren’s Dad and asks him if he can ask for Lauren’s hand in marriage.

After receiving approval, Ben lets out a Whoooo.

I kind of hate him right now.


I literally have to pause the show and take a break.

I go clean up the kitchen before I can finish this with him and Lauren.

Lauren arrives in her blue dress and sounds more and more like a valley girl from Clueless.

Suddenly, I find myself very irritable.

Ben tell her that ‘This journey is full of goodbyes.

Lauren I never want to say goodbye to you.’

Ben’s proposal was sweet. Blah Blah.

He did say ‘Lauren – you’re my person’ which was cute.


 I like Lauren and Ben together; I just thought JoJo was a better match for him long term.

 

 

After the Rose 

Now we have a FULL HOUR of the LIVE After the Rose show.

They announce JoJo is the next bachelorette.

I appreciate this. I think she will be a great bachelorette.

We need more from her Mom though!

Can we make this happen??

Ben is clapping so loud into his microphone. Live TV is tough.

They show the pastor just waiting and I cannot stop laughing.

It is all just so awkward.

Everyone seems happy.
Ben and Lauren seem happy.
JoJo seems happy to be the Bachelorette.
I am happy to see what JoJo wears and how her Mom acts.
JoJo’s season starts in May.
Whoa. That is fast! Two months!

I was seriously so sick to my stomach one hour earlier,

but they sure wrapped that up with a pretty bow.

Good season.
