I started recapping our February earlier and am going to wrap it up today!
After our busy Valentine's Weekend we lucked out and all three had President's Day off! Cecil was sweet enough to get up with Connor and let me sleep in a little.
We decided to take a little family trip to the park.
I love this picture of Connor.
He just loves being outside.
Connor is still not sure about the swings.
Even when Cecil rode with him, he was still very unsure.
I think the park will be much more fun when Connor can walk.
Tuesday we headed back to work and school, but first Connor gave himself kisses and was OBSESSED with looking in the mirror at himself.
Tuesday evening, I picked up Connor and we met Cecil at Jason's Deli before going to Noah and Zay's Pinewood derby race.
I asked Zay to get a picture of both of their cars and this is what he brought me. It's funny how they are so literal. I was expecting a picture of the whole table set up, but no. Just a zoomed in picture of each car. LOL
Connor was out of his mind excited to be around so many kids
Cecil is asking for a high five. But he basically had this big grin plastered on his face the entire time.
Noah was excited/nervous before the race started.
Noah took this picture and even though Zay isn't looking I think it is sweet.
Unfortunately the boys' cars weren't the fastest. womp womp
Maybe next year they can make some faster ones. ;)
After work on Thursday I picked up all three boys and we met Leslie and Cecil at sushi for dinner.
They have dum dum suckers and the boys always get one after dinner. I decided it would be a good idea to let Connor have one. He was so so so happy.
Three boys and their suckers.
When it was time to go I took it out of his hand and HE. LOST. IT. It was the worst thing in the world. What a pathetic little face.
Friday morning we played huggy/kissy with Connor's teddy bear. Leslie gifted me this teddy bear at my shower. It has a heart that lights up and vibrates when you hug it - similar to my own heart-to-heart teddy bear that I was am particularly attached to.
Connor's is super soft and he has become rather partial to him lately and I'm obsessed.
Connor still gives stuffed animals kisses about 95% of the time I ask him to, but only gives me kisses about 5% of the time I ask for them.
On Friday I also saw on Facebook that my Dad was named to the TOP 100 insurance professionals last year. #proud daughter
Friday Cecil was able to come home from work early and my Aunt was in town so we met up with some of my Mom's family for dinner at Olive Garden.
It was a looooooong dinner because it was Friday evening and we had a big party.
I'm talking THREE HOURS LONG.
We really pushed Connor's bedtime and I think learned a lesson as parents.
I'm thankful my Mom and Sister recognized my stress and helped out so much with Connor. In fact, my Mom took him outside for the last 20 minutes so he could point at trees and cars. :)
Saturday morning my Mom and I went to my cousin's bridal shower in Arlington. It was a sweet shower and we enjoyed getting to know his side of the family. We are looking forward to their wedding in April.
Cute bookmarks as party favors.
The bride and the Moms
After the shower my Mom and I came home, gathered Connor and Cecil up and headed over to my sister's house. We picked up Panera Bread on the way and ate it at Leslie's. The weather was beautiful and she has a grassy creek area behind her house that we hung out at. They boys played football, tag, and rode their scooters around the block. We sat on a blanket and watched Connor crawl around while we talked and listened to music. Even my brother and his family were able to come over for a few hours. We just ordered pizza and hung out. It was the perfect spring day.
My sweet friend Michelle gave Connor these shoes for his birthday and recently he has worn them every. single. day. I think they are great for his feet and really helped him walk more.
Sunday we hung out at home (just how we like it) and I tried to get a picture of Connor snuggling his teddy as I put him down for his nap. I'm pretty sure the flash woke up him up a little.
Isn't it sweet though?!??!
Just a boy and his bear.
And his blanket.
For a late lunch Cecil and I cooked one of our Hello Fresh meals and it was good! I might have added too much onion to the salad part. oops.
Often times Connor will take a couple naps on the weekends and this Sunday was no exception. Around 5pm he came to me, snuggled up, I turned on a cartoon and before I knew it Cecil said he was asleep. I like how he just found a little seat in my lap/footrest and passed out.
No idea why he is naked.
No idea why he is naked.
Monday Cecil made a hello fresh meal and it was my favorite. The sweet sauce on the pork was really good.
Connor suddenly decided he hated bath time after loving it for months. Cecil decided he would join him in the bath on a stool and Connor suddenly loved it again. :)
Sweet Daddy
Clean babies are the best. Look at that dimpled booty.
Thursday I treated myself to a sushi lunch - for one. And it was awesome.
And then went shopping at Home Goods, which was also awesome.
Thursday the boys came over and stayed the night with us because Leslie had a work event and wanted to set up Noah's party on Friday so that it would be a surprise for him.
We played in boxes, I let Zay stay up way too late playing Sorry, and we gave Noah his popcorn machine for his birthday.
Friday morning I took all three boys to school, came home and took a nap (hallelujah!) and Cecil got off work early! We had a little lunch date at home, put together Noah's popcorn machine and then picked Connor up from school. We had a perfect day together as a family.
Saturday we tried to go to our favorite local restaurant for brunch and it was PACKED. We had to sit in a back corner and Connor was not feeling it. I'm not sure if he was tired or what, but we had to get out of there before Cecil even finished eating. We knew this day was coming and had discussed it before Connor was even born, but it is stressful when your baby will not stop crying and wants to grab/spill everything.
After brunch we headed to the boy's last basketball game. Leslie's best friend and Godson were in town so it was fun to get to see them. Leslie was actually their coach this year and they had a great game. Noah was thrilled with the win and took a victory lap. LOL
He really didn't like the kid he was guarding and scored a few baskets, had two steals, and countless uncalled fouls - maybe because Leslie gifted "their favorite ref" a gift card before the game. LOL
Connor sat with Cecil and held/hugged as many balls as he could find.
Noah loves his pockets.
Their favorite ref had some words of encouragement after the game. :)
We came home, cleaned up, and I started getting Easter decorations out.
Sunday we met Russell, Marie, Turner, Leslie and her crew for dinner at Texas Roadhouse for Noah's birthday. We've gone here for at least Noah's last 4 birthdays.

Russell and Marie left while we were paying our check, but we got a group picture of the four boys.
My loves. :)
And with that February was a WRAP! Well actually we had one more day (the 29th!!!) on Monday, but it wasn't very noteworthy.
