I finally did it!!! I caught up with the months! I am actually blogging about the prior month and not playing catch up. Now, I still have things to blog about (looking at you Easter), but the monthly posts are caught up. #bloggoals
So you know Connor had croup during Halloween. #sadface
We started off November with snuggles, the most amazing bed head, more snuggles, and some more snuggles.
We were all happy after he started feeling better! On November 3rd he pulled up for the first time on his own on a little toy table Jenny gave us. In November he really learned how to pull up and stand using furniture/toys to support him.
Daddy and Connor read a bedtime story and I swooned.
Since Connor is crawling fast now he can get into so much more. We still haven't 'babyproofed' much because we are always right there with him. He saw the door stopper and Cecil showed im how to make it spring. :)
A FUN FACT about Connor - He will give stuffed animals, Sophie the giraffe, and other toys kisses, but doesn't give people kisses. Sometimes I sneak one, but he will lean in and open mouth kiss objects. I showed him his Christmas PJs that Cecil bought him and unprompted he leaned in and kissed Santa. hahahahhahaha
Leslie sent me the picture of the water color paintings I gave her. The hearts are where her babies were born. I think they turned out really cute how she framed them.
One Friday Connor and I went to visit Michelle and Kaylee. Kaylee is still a brand new baby and napped most of the time. She's sooooo tiny and it's hard to even remember Connor that small - oh! because he never was! hahaha
Connor looking at sweet Kaylee
We tried to get a picture of 'their first date' but I don't think Kaylee was having it. We are hoping it will be love at SECOND sight. #arrangedmarriages
We hung out for awhile at Michelle's and then after he woke up from the nap he took on me, we went to my old neighborhood. We visited our old neighbors. When I moved into my first house Gage was only four. Now he is thirteen!
FUN FACT #2: Tanya (on the left) introduced Cecil and me.
Friday night the boys spent the night with us and then we went to the Home Depot Kids workshop in the morning. I just love love love watching Noah and Zay love on Connor. I adore this picture of Noah and Connor. They love each other so much.
Saturday morning we went to the workshop and since it was cold/rainy they had it inside. Since Connor can crawl now he doesn't really want to sit still. I let him explore a little since we were right there, but I'm not sure Cecil approved of him being on the ground at Home Depot.
The boys made jets for Veterans day and had fun! While Noah, Zay and I finished up their project, Cecil took Connor shopping around the store for supplies he needed for home repairs.
I wasn't feeling great and Cecil had some work to do on the house (it might be nice to have a bathroom door that closes for Thanksgiving celebrations at our house) so we stayed at Leslie's while Cecil worked so I could rest on the most comfortable couch ever and Connor could be entertained by his cousins. It was such a lazy afternoon (watching football and dealing with silly boys). I'll take Connor napping on me any day of the week.
Since it was November and Christmas season had OFFICIALLY started, I started decorating our house. Last year I was 32 months pregnant and we were going to Angel Fire for Christmas so I didn't even bother getting anything out. I was ready to have a pretty house this year!
Mom has moved on to "better" tree décor and gave Leslie and me all of our old ornaments. I found this one in the box and I totally remember it. I guess the short lived pet dog Rusty and I are the only ones that held on for 26 years #survivor
Connor decided he would eat some berries off one of the decorations. #sneakyboy
Our outside needs lots of work (paining, landscaping, etc) BUT please look at that beautiful tree in the beautiful bay window. It makes me SO HAPPY.
FUN FACT#3 Connor has become OBSESSED with this duck. Nana (Cecil's mom) sent it to the hospital the day Connor was born with flowers in it. I cleaned it out and use it in his room to hold nail clippers, nose frieda, teething tablets, etc. He cannot get enough of it. Every time it catches his eye he lights up and says "Duh," One night (November 11th) was the first time I really noticed his INTENSE LOVE and pulled it down for him to play with. I wasn't sure at the time, but I think this was when he said his first word - DUCK.
On Friday morning Connor went with me to an allergy appointment at 7am! So much for sleeping in on our day home together!
Noah's love language is DEFINITELY quality time. We hadn't had a date in awhile so I took him out of extended day and spent a few hours with just him (and Cecil and Connor). I can tell he loves the chance to have uninterrupted (by his brother) conversations and have my
Our neighbors were having a garage sale and I asked Leslie if she wanted this chair for their game room. She said "Yes Please!." Noah also found a CD player and bag of crystals that we bought. He thought it was AMAZING! He kept saying he couldn't believe he had 'all these diamonds.'
The weather was AMAZING (minus the mosquitos) so we went outside and I let Connor have a kit kat for the first time. After awhile I distracted him and threw it away, but he was a messy happy baby for a few minutes.
Cecil came outside and took Connor on his first ride on the swing. Noah tried to dodge them and it was fun had by all. In that moment, I really couldn't believe how lucky I was and how much love I had for all three of those boys. I don't want to ever forget that moment.
Just look at Noah's happy face. #swoon
