November 2015 - Two

I'm think that I will be able to WRAP UP November today and actually be CURRENT (on the monthly post) on my blogging. #hallelujah

Leslie hosted what we called a "Sister Day." Our dear friends (Sara & Laura) lived down the street from us growing up and we played with them endlessly!!! At one time we had created a 'Sisters Club' #coolkids
Our other friend Carrie (who's older sister MariAnne was my HS BFF and now lives is Nepal) came too. Interestingly enough, all six of us (including MariAnne) all have only BOYS. Between us six there are 8 boys - and ZERO girls!

Leslie was so sweet to host and she made us some yummy food! We talked, let the boys run/crawl around, ate, and talked some more. It's so nice to be able to have 'Mommy time.' Things really are different when you have a kid and I have very few Mom friends so having conversations with Moms that have boys around the same age was SOOOOOO nice.

Of the four little boys there Henry (22 months) was the oldest and Connor (10 months) was the youngest. Henry disappeared into Noah and Zay's playroom and casually came out with a hat and a guitar. #hilarious

After everyone left Connor stared out the door for awhile. #missinghisfriends
It was one of my most favorite days of the year. I hope we get to do it again early next year.

I wasn't sure how Connor would take to our tree being up and I have heard that some people put gates around theirs so that kids don't pull it down on top of them. But I think Connor LOVES ours. He thinks every present is just another toy for him to bang around try to pull the boy off

Connor loves to watch his Aggies play while wearing Maroon. Cecil - well he cheers for the Horn Frogs. Better luck next year to both of us!!

Nelda came over on Sunday after church and we decided Connor was IN FACT saying the word DUCK. These two have a special bond and I LOVE it!!

Sunday afternoon we took Noah and Zay to their Rain Gutter Regatta
Spoiler Alert: Zay did VERY WELL and Noah.....not so much.

We came home and played with Lincoln logs and practiced 'walking.'

Connor found his way over to the tree and put himself right in the presents - playing with the bow.

Connor you guessed it wasn't feeling well so we had to go see the doctor AGAIN. He had an ear, sinus and eye infection. Since Connor throws up anytime we give him medicine orally they said we could bring him in for 3 days and they would give him a shot of anti-biotic.

Cecil and I decided that we are DONE with the doctor we had been seeing and are going back to our previous doctor in Southlake. It is a further drive, but I think it will be worth it. So many frustrations with Cook Children's in Hurst. We went home and snuggled.

Look at this pathetic face

Then Daddy came home - and they snuggled.

Cecil was so sweet and stayed home from work on Wednesday and Thursday so that I could go.

He started feeling better and when Noah and Zay came over on Friday he HAD to be right there at the table playing with them.

Cecil went to a Gwar concert with some friends. While we were waiting to meet them we let Connor wait up front with us. It's like he immediately knew what to do with the steering wheel. Hopefully his Daddy and he can bond over #carlove

And this was Cecil when he came home from the Gwar concert at 2am. I warmed him up some tamales and listened to him talk about the good times and then FINALLY was able to convince him to go to bed. hahahaha

Just look at this picture. I've never seen Cecil so H.A.P.P.Y.
I'm so glad he had a fun night out with friends.

And in the car I guess they made him wear a trash bag so he wouldn't get the seat dirty. #goodluckwiththat

The next morning was COLD and even though I'm sure Cecil didn't feel like it he joined me and our little bear for a little Flag Football.

I guess this is how us Texans try to stay warm. lol

Connor just loves his Auntie.

On Sunday we went to our favorite breakfast place and Connor channeled some Ray Charles.

The new DryBar opened up in Grapevine and I am EXCITED. I have a few gift cards and so I went during lunch the Monday before Thanksgiving.

Tuesday Leslie was so sweet to come over and get Connor and keep him for the night. Look at these cute shoes and that she got him. I have NO IDEA how she convinced him to leave on the hat, but he DID!
Leslie didn't want in the picture #sillygirl
The second picture is how he spends most his time with Leslie - staring at the boys running wild.

At her house, he played on a blanket outside while they played football in the street. #safetyfirst

And Nana loved on him #swoon

Thursday morning I had to go in and wake Connor up for our Luttrell Thanksgiving
He looked so sweet sleeping in his crib, holding his blanket and cuddling my Teddy.
#thatsmyboy

I took Connor's 10 month picture.

On Friday we had our Hodges Thanksgiving

Friday morning I got to sleep in a little, when I walked into the kitchen I saw Connor up on the dishwasher for the first time! He is getting so brave and strong!

Then, Saturday we had our Friendsgiving
And after all that celebrating we were T.I.R.E.D.  Sunday we just played (with Connor's new toy from our sweet friends) and took naps on the couch.

November was so much fun and I just know December will be too. Being a parent really does make everything better. I'm so thankful for my sweet family of three.
