September we celebrated Cecil's birthday, Connor started military crawling, and Cecil and I took a 4 night trip to Mexico. Lets recap! :)
Connor started off the month still being sick. I don't mind the snuggles, but not much gets done.
Sometimes blocks are fun for adults too. haha
Zay started Cub scouts and was suuuuuuuuuper excited.
I took Connor back to school and I'm not sure he was ready. I think he was better, but still wanted to be held. I wish I had stayed home with him another day. This is the text I got from his teacher. :(

Connor and I met Cecil and Old Navy one evening and played dress up in the hats. I would put Connor in hats all the time if he would leave them on. Look how cute he is!!
(Fun fact - this outfit is Connor's back up at school so I'm guessing he had a blowout that day!)
In September Connor started to really get where he wanted to go. He was a scooting machine. He hadn't quite figured out how to crawl, but he military crawled all over the place. I will say I loved this stage because he could get what he wanted himself, but couldn't get very far or into things quickly. One of his favorite things was to go under Cecil's side table and play with his computer cords. After I started putting his toy box under that table to block the cords this got better. :)

Look at those little fingers grasping and pulling. So cute to me!
We also tried to introduce a sippy cup. I'm sure its normal, but it did not come natural to Connor. I will admit I loved laughing at his attempts to get water out!
We had a great LABOR DAY WEEKEND.
Connor's onesie came in the mail and I died! I love love love Garth Brooks and he was having a concert in Dallas OF COURSE the weekend Cecil and I were going to be in Mexico. I really hope he comes back to DFW some day. I will be there!
Russell and Dad went on a Father/Son golfing trip to Wisconsin and played at Whistling Straits. I think they played four rounds of gold in three days and Dad told me he could feel it when they got home. I just love this picture of the two of them. And I love their friendship.
We got new side tables for the living room from Wayfair. We had been using plastic TV trays for longer than I would like to admit. They came in the mail completely assembled and it was easy peasy. It's hard to decorate that room because everything in there is brown. So I wanted tables that were substantial, but not another brown piece. I think we are both happy with what we chose.
One day Zay was combing Connor's hair and I just thought it was so sweet.
We let forced Connor to try on the boy's glasses. hahaha
Connor sits with me in the morning while I put makeup on and I put my Teddy's hat on him. Of course it didn't stay on long, but I loooooooved it!
Connor wore his Daddy's Deputy shirt I received at my baby shower from a co-worker so I snagged a picture to show her. :)
We all had hibachi for dinner. I just love watching the boys react to the big fire and 'tricks.' No one looks excited in this picture, but I promise it was a really good time!
Cutie. He got the duct tape roll stuck on his leg. Hilarious.
Cecil and I were planning on going to Mexico on Thursday September 17th. I was talking to the boys about how you need a passport to leave the country, etc......
Then it hit me like a panic wave - Was my passport expired?!?!?!
........
........
I raced home a week before we left to find out it was expired!!!! PANIC MODE!
I did research online and called to learn that I could go to the Passport office in Dallas. They could not guarantee that it would be time though. I needed a new passport picture and our marriage license (for name change). Of course, we couldn't find our marriage license anywhere.
The next morning Connor and I went to the office to get a copy of our marriage license (not near as pretty as the original -which we have since found Thank Goodnes!!). Then I dropped Connor off at school and raced to Walgreens to take a passport photo. Then during lunch I went to downtown Dallas to the passport office to find out if they could get me a new one in time. STRESS!
I was SO MAD at myself.
Friday Leslie had a date so we took the boys to CiCi's and Noah ate a little pizza (prob one slice) and then asked if he could go play games. I told him he could if he was full, but that was all he was getting to eat that night. When it was time to leave I went to get them from the arcade and he asked me if he could have more pizza......ugh! This boy....
Leslie came to pick the boys up and her date had sent flower to give me for babysitting. How sweet is that?!? They were really pretty too!
Cecil said he wanted to play golf for his birthday - sounds good to me! Saturday we went to my parents and played golf at Hurricane Creek.
This time we didn't bother with Connor's car seat. He just came along for the ride.
I drove the cart with Dad's clubs and he walked the course so we were basically his caddy. Connor laid down some....
And usually we would go to the green and watch everyone putt. Connor loves clapping. Anytime we say 'Yay Connor' he will clap!
Michelle said - Golfing in a football shirt #Luttrell hahah
I typically just rode in the cart, but played the Par 3s. I actually Birdied one. Look at my first hit. It was right by the flag!! #allstar
Grams wasn't as good lucky as me.
Group shot

I finally convinced Connor to take a nap right after we started the back nine. Look at those cheeks!
Then when I wanted to play another Par 3, Cecil carried Connor for awhile. I hope Connor loves golf just like his parents.
We went back to Mom & Dads and had a delicious dinner and birthday cake!
Sunday Nana came over to visit us.
Monday during lunch I went to pick up my passport and got hit by a car while I was leaving downtown Dallas. MORE STRESS
I brought Connor in bed with us one morning because he would not sleep was being so cute.
We got dressed and had some Daddy snuggles before we left.
Anytime we let Connor play in the front seat he thinks he is such a big boy! He has a long way to go before he is riding shot gun!!
We all go up super early Thursday morning and headed out. Connor went to Leslie's and Cecil and I went to the airport to fly to Mexico.
This is his 'What do you MEAN you are going to Mexico WITHOUT me?' face.
