Labor Day 2015

We had a fun filled family Labor Day weekend.
Friday night Cecil and I kept Noah and Zay. We took them to Hobby Lobby and let them each pick out a "project." It took both of them, but especially Zay, fooooorever to decide. Noah chose a shark tooth kit that he had to find in a rock. I helped Zay chose the Volcano kit.

On Saturday morning we went to Shipley's and then the Home Depot Kids Workshop and I think they loved it. It was awesome! They had a bounce house, lemonade, hot dogs, and a project for the kids to build and paint. I think this is totally Cecil's element and this will be a regular activity in our life for years to come.

Connor and I tried to find some shade to sit in.

Noah's no dummy. He told me right away that there was a guy in this costume and he was looking through the Home Depot patch of the hat.

We got a Sonic treat and went home and worked on Zay's volcano project. I think he was proud of himself.

And I think Noah was fascinated with the results!

Our sweet friends Nicole and Ben planned a party to celebrate Labor Day and Cecil's (aka BAMF - another name he gave himself) birthday with a sprinkle cake!!

Saturday evening Leslie and the boys went over to our friend's house with us to swim and celebrate Cecil and Labor Day. I didn't take a single picture but Nicole sent me this one of Connor and Cecil blowing out his candle. It was a really fun night!! Noah and Zay thought the slide in their pool was the greatest thing ever. I thought sister/pool/football/food/friend time was the greatest thing ever.

Sunday morning Connor woke up in his Aggie colors looking extra cute

We went to our favorite breakfast place (everyone but Connor got dressed)

We went home and watched football while our little football took a nap on me.

Sunday evening we went to the Blues and BBQ festiveal in Bedford with Leslie and the boys.

We had some great food and listened to some fun music. Leslie bought Connor this light wand and he was in love.

Connor loooved his wand and then.....

..... he needed just a little help.

We had a lazy morning Monday (Labor Day)

Then we took a picture of Connor with our new canvas for the living room and realized it was life size. hahahaha

I'm not sure how to do videos yet, but I just love this picture of Connor below. This is his real toothless grin. Pure joy.

Cecil opened his birthday card from my parents. They think they are soooo funny.
"Just wanted to wish HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a great son-in-law"

"and to remind you of our family's strict NO RETURN POLICY. You're stuck with her."

Connor and I went over to Leslie's pool and had our last swim of the year (in Texas).

I just love long weekends filled with family and friends.
