Columbus Day 2015

Columbus Day weekend was full for us. We were busy but we got lots of great family/friend time.

Columbus Day weekend started off well - Leslie and I went to get pedicures Friday night (and might have had a few cups of wine) and then went to shop at Hobby Lobby. It was kind of hilarious.

When I got home Carlyn came over to give us some things back that she had borrowed for her wedding in Colorado. It was fun to just hang out and talk with her. Sweet friend. But again, I took 0 pictures. ooops

On Saturday we had Jack's birthday party. She did a Fiesta theme and it was PRECIOUS! I AGAIN didn't take any pictures so here are a couple of this cutie that I stole off FB.

I found a few toys of Jack's that Connor likes and added a couple things to our Christmas wish list. After the party Connor was ready for a bottle and for the FIRST TIME EVER we just gave him one and he fed it to himself in the back of the truck while we drove to Dallas. We had plans to go to the State Fair with Nana, Tammi and co, but it was Texas/OU weekend and there was not a single place to park so we exed that idea and went to the Aquarium.

Cecil didn't spend much time in the stroller, we basically just pushed it around while holding him.  He was interested in all the handle bars but I couldn't tell how much he noticed the animals.

After the aquarium we walked to Spaghetti Warehouse and had lunch. Liam is such a cutie and definitely loves Austin!

Cecil wore Connor which is like my most favorite thing ever. Is there anything cuter?

We left Dallas and headed to our friend's house where we had a lot of fun watching the TCU/K-state game. K state ALMOST won it, but no. boooo
Connor was scared by a dog for the first time. He was just over zealous and licked Connor's face, which he did NOT like. Me either baby, me either.

The only picture I got all night was Connor riding around in the Little Tykes car (Santa got another good idea - I guess visiting older friends/family is the best way to toy shop). Connor was in heaven while Cecil pushed him. He was a total trooper even though we kept him up way past his bedtime. We were all super exhausted that night from such a long day.

Sunday we had a much slower day. Cecil let me sleep in while he got up with Connor. Then Connor took his morning nap with Cecil on the couch. My favorite guys....

We had a slow day at home.  Connor decided that he *really* liked playing with the little wedding pegs of Cecil and me. He loves banging them together.

Sunday afternoon Connor and I went over to Leslie's while Cecil took Austin to the driving range. Connor tried out his new big boy seat. He looks so big in it!!

Then, Austin and Cecil met us at Leslie's and he installed a safety lock on her bathroom door. Connor was fascinated with the electric tools. I just can't wait for him to be Cecil's little shadow helping him with lots of projects.....but then I can wait.

Austin, Noah, Zay, Connor and I were off for Columbus day so we had Noah and Austin spend the night with us (Zay had made a bad choice (like talking back) and so Leslie just brought him over in the morning). Noah was in HEAVEN. He looooves Austin and loves quality time.

Monday we got up, took Austin home and then Noah, Zay, Connor and I went grocery shopping and hung out at home.

Connor discovered his toys that MariAnne brought him from Africa. And he looooved them.

It was a very low key Columbus Day - which also happened to be our Anniversary.

I put this little picture on Cecil's FB wall and wrote:
Happy anniversary to Cecil. I love you forever. Last year I gave him pegs of us on our wedding day and now Connor loves playing with them while we sing: First comes love (2009), then comes marriage (2012), then comes Connor in a baby carriage (2015).

He's a pretty great Husband and Exceptional Dad. :)
