Connor's First Haircut

I have been practically begging Cecil to allow me to get Connor's haircut for a few months. I agreed to wait until he was one, because......well I don't know why people wait that long!
Seems silly to me!

Friday before naptime I took these pictures of Connor with a little pony.

I just really don't like the scraggly look. Cecil finally agreed to let us cut it. I really wasn't sure how it would go, but I was excited to take him for his first haircut. When Cecil got home from work Friday I convinced him that we should go get his haircut and then have our Valentine's dinner date.
Ya'll, he agreed.
Yall, I was relieved!

We headed to a kids place in Keller and I was happy to find out that there wasn't a wait, we were actually the ONLY ones in there. Connor happened to be in a great mood and he walked the whole way into the store - with us holding his hands.

He was excited to sit in his new seat and didn't really care what was going on.

He loved the steering wheel and tolerated the bib. The nice lady turned on Wow Wow Wubzy which he watched a little bit of, but mainly just looked around as happy as could be.

Cecil made him smile while she cut his hair. He wasn't very still and it didn't look easy to cut, but he was just excited and bouncing up and down and looking around.

My cute little boy.

He was definitely confused at times- especially when she sprayed his hair with water and used the electric razor in the back.
I gave him some stacks that helped keep him a little more still for a minute.

Here is our family picture.

He even got a certificate, with a lock of his hair. Our sweet boy is growing up. :) All three looking at the camera - for the win!

I'm not sure how often we will go back. I know some people do it like every week or two. That will NOT be us! I don't have time for that!! It didn't look too complicated (but I could be completely wrong and in over my head), but while he just needs trims and doesn't have a real style we might try to do it at home going forward - youtube here I come!
It was a fun FIRST for all three of us. :)
