January 2016 - Three

Apparently I'm having a hard time wrapping up the month of January. I posted Part 1 and Part 2 earlier this week.

On our last Friday of the month Connor and I were home together and I took these adorable pictures of him in his chair. Look at this smile!!

He just played around with all his toys and I caught him storing his milk in the cup holder of his truck.

Smart boy.

I got him dressed in his cupid arrow Valentine pants and his bib from Aunt T.

We had Noah and Zay with us Friday evening and we went to Sam's to grab a few things. The boys enjoyed a sales pitch and Connor worked on his walking skills when we got home.

Saturday Leslie had car trouble and we had to go try to jump her car off. She was able to drive it to the shop, but we gave them all a ride back home. Her Honda has almost 200K miles on it. Impressive.

While waiting, Connor and I hung out in the back of Cecil's truck.

Saturday evening, after we put Connor to bed, the boys and Cecil worked on their pinewood derby cars at our house.

I had to sneak in Connor's room for something and I grabbed a couple pictures of my favorite sleeping baby.

Sunday Connor and I met my friend Lauren and her daughters Emma and Everly at a park in Arlington. She takes pictures of her daughters at this park often and I really liked the bridges she has used.
We were going to try to get a couple pictures of Connor. I had this oversized balloon aired up at Party City on the way. You should have seen Lauren and I trying to get Connor to look at us.
It was ridiculous. But he didn't want to look at us OR the balloon so this is what we got.

Next we moved to another location where it was less sunny to try and get a better picture.

Everly seemed to grow up so much this visit from the last time I saw her. She is 2.5, talks so clearly and loves to get her picture taken.

I think this is my favorite Everly picture from the day. :)

This one turned out pretty cute too. I like how close the balloon is to her.

Here is Lauren working with all three kids. lol
I'm not sure what I was doing at this point, but I did manage to drop my car key in these leaves. Luckily Lauren found it when we walked all the way back together.

We tried to get a picture on the bench and somehow the balloon came untied and I didn't even realize it - luckily Connor didn't let go and I was able to tie it back to the weight.

We went to Lauren's favorite bridge and I think this might be my favorite picture of the day. What a sweet baby boy.

Lauren took this picture of me and  my baby.

While walking back to the parking lot the balloon popped on a tree branch. When we got back to the cars and I realized my key was missing. I went back and looked quickly but couldn't find it so luckily Lauren had two strollers and a baby carrier and we loaded all the kids up and walked the entire way to the playground (thankfully finding my key on the way). It was a big mess and I was so thankful for my much better prepared friend!

We got to the playground and Connor loved crawling around on the jungle gym. I think it will be much more fun for me when he can walk, but he still had a good time.

He swung next to the girls, but then decided he didn't love it too much. I am obsessed with his face in this picture. hahahaha

All three kiddos enjoying the beautiful day!!

Connor napped on our way home so wasn't really wanting to nap after we got back home. He was a little fussy while it was just Cecil and I at home, but after a couple hours Cecil's Aunt, Cousin and her daughter and two grandsons came over. Connor perked right up when they got there and was much happier. The oldest grandson is two and all boy! Connor loved watching him play around.

The littlest grandson is less than a month old and so sweet and brand new. I loved getting to hold him. Just look at that sweetness.

Cecil wanted to hold him too, which I thought was adorable.

And FINALLY that wraps up January. It was a fun month because we celebrated Connor's birthday, but I'm looking forward to not feeling so under the weather. It seems like every January I get sick for a couple weeks.
